とんぼ玉とは、色ガラスで模様を溶かし込んだ、穴の開いたガラス玉の総称です。ガラス細工ならではの温かみがあり、紐を通してアクセサリーや小物などに利用されます。

【特徴】
バーナーワークという技法でガラスを溶かして作るガラス玉のことです。直径1～4cm程度の大きさのものが多く、美しい色彩と模様が特徴です。
手作りならではの味わいと製作者の個性が表れ、2つとして同じ物がありません

【歴史】
メソポタミアやエジプトでは3,500年以上前から作られていました
